On the 29th, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced that it signed a ‘Korea-UAE maritime transportation cooperation memorandum’ with the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure on the occasion of UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to Korea.

This Memorandum of Understanding includes ▲information exchange and introduction of necessary measures to ensure the safety of the maritime transportation industry ▲cooperation for decarbonization of the shipping industry ▲speeding up and simplification of related procedures when entering and leaving ports ▲strengthening cooperation in the field of Port State Control (PSC) ▲ship-related maritime It contains information such as implementation of measures to prevent pollution.

Following the signing of this memorandum of understanding, the two countries decided to strengthen cooperation for the stable operation of ships calling at ports in the two countries and smooth maritime trade.
