Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad has not ruled out a move to fierce rivals Hearts of Oak following his departure from the Kumasi-based club.
The 21-year-old, who captained the Porcupine Warriors, was among the initial list of 11 players released by the club ahead of the next Ghana Premier League season. The club later added seven more names to the list, making a total of 18 departures, with the possibility of more to come.
Given Danlad’s impressive pedigree, the possibility of switching to another renowned club is high, and he isn’t ruling out a move to the Phobians either.
When asked about a potential transfer to Hearts of Oak, Danlad said, “For the time being, I believe this choice [to leave Kotoko] was made within the last few days, therefore I have asked my management to negotiate with any team that expresses interest in me so that as a player, I can relax and focus on my training.”

“Right now, I’m not sure where I’ll go. It all depends on my management, I don’t make decisions on my own, so if we sit and discuss the deal and see it will benefit my career, I’ll consider it.”
Danlad is known for his involvement in international football, having played through the ranks for all the youth national teams. He has not only been a regular figure for these sides but also demonstrated leadership qualities, captaining most of the youth national teams.
As the new season approaches, many will be watching closely to see where Danlad will end up next.
