One of the volunteers involved in the recently concluded 13th African Games has anonymously revealed to Citi News that they are yet to receive the allowances promised by the Local Organizing Committee and the leadership of the Volunteer sub-committee.
This disclosure comes in the wake of a statement released by the Local Organizing Committee, assuring volunteers of the full payment of GH₵1,200 allocated as incentives.
The statement emphasized the need for volunteers to provide the necessary proof to claim their owed benefits, as outlined by the Committee’s Chairman, Dr Kwaku Ofosu-Asare.
Speaking to Citi News on condition of anonymity, the volunteer explained that despite providing all required details, the promised allowances of GHC1,000 and an additional transport of GHC200.00 are yet to be reflected in their respective accounts.
