[Mobile Reporter Nam Nan-woo] Sejong City held a ‘Retirement Event with Family in the First Half of 2024’ in the VIP room of City Hall on the 27th to cheer on the new beginnings of retired civil servants.
About 50 people attended the event, including Mayor Choi Min-ho, retired and scheduled to retire public officials, family members, and colleagues.
Mayor Choi Min-ho presented a public plaque to the retired public servant, encouraged him for his long-term work faithfully performing his duties and greatly contributed to the development of the country and the local community, and cheered on the second act of his life.
In addition, Sejong City employees presented appreciation plaques expressing their gratitude to family members who had been a great help in his public life.
In the conversation that followed, retired civil servants revealed their thoughts about leaving the public service they had worked in for a long time and made final memories amid congratulations from colleagues and family.
Mayor Choi Min-ho said, “I am grateful for the sweat he has put in for the city and its residents over a long period of time,” and added, “I support the bright future of the second chapter of my life that lies ahead, and ask for your continued affection and interest in our city even after retirement.”
