The four-term Member of Parliament for Ellembelle Constituency and Deputy Minority Leader, Armah Kofi Buah has expressed gratitude to his constituents for re-electing him with 32,281 votes.
He defeated his NPP counterpart, Kwasi Bonzo, who secured 18,608 votes.
Armah Buah emphasized that the overwhelming rejection of the NPP places a significant responsibility on the NDC, stressing that Ghanaians expect the party to learn from past mistakes and not repeat them.
“Ghanaians have shown unwavering confidence in the NDC, believing the party will do better. This faith has led to a significant victory, which also brings a huge responsibility for the NDC to address the grievances that sparked a protest vote across the country.”
“The expectation is clear: Ghanaians want the NDC to do the right thing, prioritizing the protection of water bodies and the environment, rather than perpetuating destructive practices. With President Mahama at the helm, who is poised and ready to lead, the NDC is committed to delivering on the promises made to the people of Ghana.” He highlighted.
Armah Buah assured the people of Ghana that the NDC will not disappoint them.
“Ghanaians have made the right decision. We understand your pains and why you voted the way you did. We get it. ”
“The NDC needs your help. Given the level of destruction and economic challenges, we need your patience to help us get out of this difficult situation. I’m confident we’ll succeed.”
