As part of his ongoing familiarization engagements, the New Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Edward Bawa has visited and interacted with the teams at GNPC Explorco and the Research & Data Centre (RATC)—two critical pillars of our Corporation.
At Explorco, he underscored the importance of operational autonomy, government backing, and strategic expansion to solidify its role in Ghana’s upstream sector.
He said their discussions reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the Voltaian Basin Project, a venture with immense potential for revenue generation and job creation.
He also encouraged the team to prioritize community engagement and environmental sustainability, ensuring that growth is both inclusive and responsible.
“At RATC, I emphasized the need for data-driven decision-making, recognizing that cutting-edge technology, real-time analytics, and research insights are fundamental to optimizing GNPC’s operations.
“I assured the team of my full support in equipping the Centre with the necessary resources to enhance its efficiency and capabilities,” he wrote on Facebook after the engagement.
