England Skipper, Harry Kane says Bayern Munich’s season will be a failure if they do not win the Champions League.
After being knocked out of the DFB Pokal and losing the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich now solely focus on the UEFA Champions League. With their domination in the Bundesliga coming to an end last weekend, Bayern’s attention shifts to Europe’s premier competition, as they aim to salvage their season.
Bayern Munich host Arsenal on Wednesday in their quarter-final second leg, with the tie evenly poised at 2-2.
“We still have an opportunity to turn this season into a great season if we win the Champions League,” said Kane.
“Of course, from the club’s point of view it will be a failed season if we don’t win anything this year because we’re expected to win, but all we can do is take that into next year and try and turn that around.”

The former Tottenham striker Kane, who is yet to win a trophy in his career, joined the German giants seeking a change in fortune but as it stands, Kane has no trophy in his cabinet.
Amidst the chaos, however, Kane has a reason to smile and look back on his first season in Germany with fondness. He leads the race for the Golden Boot with 32 goals, which is typical of the prolific marksman.
