Okraku returned to Ghana on Friday from Egypt, to a rapturous welcome by some staff of the Ghana FA and the Ghana Supporters Union.

In a Facebook post, Okraku expressed his excitement at his new role and pledged to work hard to make significant progress in his new capacity.

”I received a surprise reception from our hardworking staff of the Ghana Football Association at the Headquarters on Friday March 14, 2025, on my return to the country after my CAF Executive Committee election victory in Cairo, Egypt.

“I am deeply humbled and truly appreciate the overwhelming support and encouragement from our staff. This victory is not just mine but a reflection of the collective efforts of everyone involved in Ghanaian football.

“I took the opportunity to acknowledge the immense contributions of my predecessors, particularly, former GFA boss, President Kwesi Nyantakyi for his advise, support and encouragement every step of the way.

“I am excited about the work ahead and confident that, with such a dedicated team, we will achieve remarkable progress.

“Together, we will push forward to ensure that Ghana make tremendous progress in our collective drive for success,” he said.
