Many businesses and organisations across different industries in the country are now relying on AI to improve their work.

At an AI conference in Nairobi on March 13, Microsoft highlighted how fast Kenya is adopting AI.

In hospitals, AI is helping doctors make better decisions and improve patient care.

Similarly, AI is making supply chains more efficient in retail, ensuring that businesses can deliver goods faster. Banks are also using AI to improve customer service, making it easier for people to access financial services.

Microsoft Kenya’s country manager, Phyllis Migwi, said Kenya has made big progress in AI. She noted that many Kenyan startups are coming up with new ideas that are solving major problems in East Africa and beyond.

Kenya, along with South Africa and Nigeria, is leading Africa’s AI revolution. These three countries are not only using AI for innovation but are also building the necessary technology to support future growth.

Migwi said Kenya’s technology sector has an inspiring story to tell. She explained that Microsoft’s AI Tour is meant to showcase how AI is changing businesses and helping people. The goal is to encourage more organisations to start using AI to improve their work.
