0 Singer, Mr. Drew has responded to a legal suit by JamRok Event Centre.
According to him, negotiations were successfully conducted between his team and the event organizers, with agreed on terms including a performance fee, payment structure, and promotional video.
However, despite arriving at the venue as agreed, Mr. Drew and his team encountered significant delays and breaches of contract.
Mr. Drew explained that, the event, which was supposed to start at 8:00 pm, had not begun by midnight, leaving him and his team waiting at the guest house.
Also, he said attempts to get the organisers to pay his fee proved futile, with the organizers citing low turnout as justification for withholding payment.
Mr. Drew also claimed since the incident, the organizers resorted to issuing threats and defamatory remarks against him and his team on social media and through private messages.
Despite legal intervention and demands for retractions, the organizers persisted in their actions, he added.
Mr. Drew expressed disappointment at the ‘unprofessional’ conduct of the event organizers but said he is ready to perform for the people of Akosombo when called upon.
