Mauricio Pochettino has adopted a composed stance amid speculation regarding his future at Chelsea, asserting that a potential departure from the club would “not be the end of the world.”
The Argentine manager, who has faced criticism due to Chelsea’s inconsistent performance this season, emphasised the need for mutual understanding between himself, his coaching staff, and the club’s owners.
Following Chelsea’s recent victory against Tottenham, Pochettino dismissed what he described as “stupid rumours” surrounding his position. However, he acknowledged the importance of aligning with the club’s vision and objectives.
Pochettino stressed the significance of open dialogue between the coaching staff and the board, emphasising that decisions regarding the future should involve input from both parties.
While acknowledging the possibility of parting ways with Chelsea, Pochettino remained pragmatic, stating, “It will not be the end of the world.” He emphasised that both parties must be satisfied for a decision to be made regarding his tenure at the club.

With Chelsea’s resurgence in recent matches, including victories over Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham, Pochettino’s focus remains on upcoming fixtures against Nottingham Forest and Brighton, with the season finale against Bournemouth on May 19.
While Chelsea’s inconsistencies have been largely attributed to squad inexperience and numerous injuries, they seem to be on a path of bouncing back.
With three matches to go, the London side sit seventh on the table above Manchester United. After 35 matches, they have 54 points with the Red Devils sitting eighth.
