[Mobile Reporter Choi Soo-hyun] Jeollanam-do will hold the 2024 Jeollanam-do Youth Expo for two days until the 25th in the Mokpo Natural History Museum Square to support the dreams and challenges of future youth.
The Jeollanam-do Youth Expo, which marks its 3rd anniversary this year after holding its first event in 2022, will be held under the theme, ‘Run Youth, Unfold My Dream’.
Starting with the opening ceremony on the first day, the 24th, with about 500 youths, youth leaders, and residents attending, various events such as major events, special events, and experience booth operations were organized to provide youth and visitors with a wealth of attractions and enjoyment.
At the opening ceremony, the ‘Jeollanam-do Youth Award’ was awarded to 7 youth who set an example for others through healthy growth, supporting the youth who will become future leaders of Jeollanam-do.
Kim Jae-min, a third-year student at Suncheon Yeonhyang Middle School, received the grand prize of honor for his excellent behavior in various aspects such as filial piety, good deeds, service, and academics.
The main events are diverse so that the whole family can participate together, such as a youth gathering, a robot competition, an e-sports competition, and a water bomb festival.
In particular, the ‘Dream Youth Cheerful Sports Day’, which was run for the first time this year, is held as a venue for communication and exchange where youth outside of school can participate together.
In the experience zones such as the Future Life Zone, Career Dream Zone, Happiness Growth Zone, and Special Excellence Zone, 140 experience and promotional booths such as drone piloting experience, worry doll making, and psychological testing are operated to provide experience opportunities for youth to feel interest and interest. It is provided.
As a special event, Judge Cheon Jong-ho will be invited to conduct programs such as a lecture on ‘Understanding and Prevention of School Violence with Parents and Children’ and a congratulatory performance by celebrity Hi-Key.
In his congratulatory address, Jeollanam-do Governor Kim Young-rok said, “Youth are the hope of the Republic of Korea and the leaders of the future. We look forward to them boldly taking on challenges and developing bigger dreams based on their infinite potential.” He added, “Jeollanam-do is actively working to move forward vigorously toward the bright future that the youth dream of.” “I will support you,” he said.
The 53rd National Youth Sports Festival, which will be held for four days starting on the 25th, the second day of the expo, will feature matches in 36 sports at 50 stadiums in the Jeonnam region, including Mokpo Stadium.
