
2024 Eumseong National Cycling Competition held…from the 4th to the 8th

[Mobile Reporter Nam Nan-woo] Eumseong-gun (Governor Jo Byeong-ok) announced that it will hold the ‘2024 Eumseong National Cycling Competition’ at Eumseong Sports Complex for five days from the 4th to the 8th of this month to expand the base of domestic cycling and discover excellent athletes.
Hosted by the Eumseong-gun Sports Association and organized by the Korea Bicycle Federation, an elite track competition consisting of 18 events, including sprint, will be held from the 4th to the 7th in which 311 elite athletes from 67 teams, including middle school, high school, and general divisions, will participate.

Also, on the 8th, the Masters Cycle Tour will be held in which about 250 amateur cycling club members from all over the country will participate and run on a road course in Eumseong-gun.
The elite competition schedule includes: 4 events on the first day, including group sprint, individual pursuit, solo race, and scratch; △6 events on the 2nd day, including group pursuit, 1LAP, sprint preliminaries, 200m record race, high school scratch, and general exclusion events; and △on the 3rd day. Four events, including sprint finals, omnium, middle school scratch, and middle and high school excluded events, will be held on the fourth day. Two events, including bicycle racing and points, will be held on the fourth day, and the elite competition concludes with the general awards ceremony on the 7th.
And on the 8th, the ‘2024 Eumseong National Cycling Competition’ will end with the Masters Cycle Eumseong Tour, an individual road race for cycling enthusiasts.
County Governor Cho Byeong-ok said, “We sincerely welcome the team of cyclists visiting Eumseong-gun, and hope that they will use their honed skills to the fullest and bring back pleasant memories in Eumseong.” He added, “Through this competition, it will greatly help in revitalizing the local economy as well as a healthy sports culture.” “I hope it happens,” he said.
