[Mobile Reporter Nam Nan-woo] The Sejong City Autonomous Crime Prevention Association launched a joint safety campaign with related organizations on the 30th.
This campaign was carried out to prevent various crimes such as theft, drinking, and not wearing helmets, which frequently occur late at night during the summer, and to establish basic order.
The safety campaign, which was held in the commercial area of Naseong-dong from 7 p.m. on this day, was participated by about 150 autonomous crime prevention officers, Sejong Autonomous Police Committee, Sejong Police Agency, Sejong Southern Police Station, City Council Crime Prevention Research Group, Mobile Patrol Unit, and Government Building District Unit.
In particular, they were divided into two groups and met directly with citizens to provide detailed explanations on bicycle theft prevention, drunk driving prevention, and safe operation of electric kickboards and motorcycles, etc. to increase citizen understanding.
Choi Young-hwan, Chairman of the Voluntary Crime Prevention Association, said, “We expect this joint campaign to play a big role in increasing citizens’ perceived safety,” and added, “We will further strengthen anticipatory patrols to protect residents’ peaceful daily lives through crime prevention.”
