This training is part of the ‘2024 Busan City Radioactive Disaster Prevention Joint Training’ that will be held from yesterday to the 30th, assuming an actual radioactive disaster situation, and will be held from yesterday to the 30th.
The goal is to establish a system to protect residents from radioactive disasters through close cooperation between the city, 16 autonomous districts, counties, and related organizations.
Ten autonomous districts and counties (within the radiation emergency planning area) and six autonomous districts outside the radiation emergency planning area are participating, and 128 administrative welfare centers are also participating in the training for the first time.
It is divided into discussion-based icon training and behavioral training and is conducted over two days.

At Gangseo Sports Park, a regional disaster relief base center, registration of victims, distribution of relief goods, on-site meals, disaster psychological counseling, vehicle pollution inspection and decontamination, and radiation emergency medical training are conducted, and the Korean Red Cross, Yeongnam Trauma Center, and National Radiation Emergency Medical Center are provided. , local military units, etc. cooperate.
Utilize the National Disaster and Safety Communication Network to share real-time situations with each relevant organization, establish a command and control communication system, and firmly establish a radiological disaster response system.
The 10 autonomous districts and counties included in the radiation emergency planning area will form a radiation disaster prevention headquarters, and the other 6 autonomous districts will form a disaster and safety response headquarters, and then provide support training according to support requests.
The city will conduct this training while securing field-oriented safety measures.
We cooperate with the Busan Police Agency to control traffic and maintain order at the regional disaster relief base center, and the Fire and Disaster Headquarters supports the emergency rescue system and fire trucks through 119 emergency support.
In addition, in preparation for emergency situations, about 260 students from the Department of Nursing at Dongeui Science University and the Department of Emergency Medical Services at Gumi University will work as medical volunteer groups, from villages and schools introduced by residents and students to relief station sites.
Meanwhile, at 1 p.m. yesterday, the city conducted a discussion-based roadmap training with 16 autonomous districts, counties, and related organizations at the City Hall Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, assuming a radiation leak from Unit 4 of the Kori Nuclear Power Plant.
Centered around the Radioactive Disaster Prevention Headquarters, training was conducted on response to resident protection measures and unexpected contingency measures from white emergency to red emergency stages.
Mayor Park Hyeong-jun said, “Through this training, we will further strengthen our ability to respond to radioactive disasters to protect the lives and property of citizens and solidify the cooperation system between the public, private sector, military, and police.
