Former Dreams FC captain and defender, Abdul Jalilu, has stated he didn’t know much about Rwandan football and his new club, Mukura Sport Victory Football Club before signing to join the Rwandan club.

He said this after joining the team on a two year deal following the conclusion of the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season where Dreams FC finished ninth in the 18-team league competition.

The 24 year old was part of an excellent Dreams FC run in the CAF Confederation Cup that had Dreams make it to the semifinals in its debut campaign in the competition before losing to eventual champions Zamalek of Egypt.

Jalilu competed in 27 league games and scored a goal and made 11 appearances in the Confederation Cup and scored a goal in the continental championship.

Despite his limited knowledge of the Central African country, Jalilu indicated, that wasn’t a problem for him when making the move.

“I am very happy to be here. I don’t have much to say, we just agreed on the details and I will come back to them next time. I don’t know anything about Mukura and Rwandan football” he said according to IGIHE Sports.
