Ghana winger Ibrahim Osman believes that if former Right to Dream Academy player, Simon Adingra, can excel at Brighton and Hove Albion, then he can do same.

He said this in an interview during his unveiling as a Brighton player though the deal to get the talented speedy winger to The Seagulls was struck in January.

In his opening interview, Osman talked about the factors that influenced him to pick Brighton among several clubs interested in him. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

By joining Brighton, Osman follows in the footsteps of former academy teammate Simon Adingra, who won the 2023 AFCON with Cote D’Ivoire and has grown into a key player at Brighton.

“The style of play here is similar to FC Nordsjaelland so he just told me to just be the same as I am in FC Norsdjaelland. He has really inspired me for quite a few weeks during the AFCON and even playing weekly in the Premier League. If he can do that, then I’m also sure I can do the same.”

Beyond Adingra, Brighton have a wide range of top wingers including Kaoru Mitoma and Yankuba Minteh to pick from.

“There were a lot of teams who wanted me… but when Brighton came in, I knew this was the type of club I wanted to play at.”
