Security has been beefed up for the Manhyia South primary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Voting is underway in the Constituency as NPP delegates vote in the Parliamentary primary to choose a replacement for the Member of Parliament for the area, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh ( NAPO).

The election became necessary following the selection of Dr Opoku Premeh as the running mate to the flagbearer Dr Mahaud Bawumia.

“All four aspirants are confident of winning based on the feedback from delegates,” TV3’s Ibrahim Abubakar reported on Sunday July 15.

“Polls will end at 1pm but likely to end before the agreed time looking at the pace,” Ibrahim further reported.
