Kylian Mbappe has vowed to go beyond just scoring goals for his new club Real Madrid but to also adapt to the team which he believes will continue to win titles.
Kylian Mbappe completed his dream move of wanting to play for Spanish giants Real Madrid on Tuesday morning.
After undergoing his medicals, the France captain was unveiled to a packed Santiago Bernabeu, proceeding to sign a five-year contract keeping him at the club until 2029.
Speaking after his unveiling ceremony, Mbappe admitted he is not just at the Bernabeu to score goals but to also adapt and help the team win.
“I don’t want to just come here, score my goals and then go home. I am going to score goals, sure. But I want to adapt to the team because it is a team that is going to win trophies.”
I’ve dreamt of Real Madrid move since I was a kid – Mbappe
In 2023, PSG accepted a world-record bid of £259 million from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, but Mbappe turned down the move, making it clear he wanted to join Real Madrid.
Mbappe departed PSG with an impressive record of 256 goals in 308 appearances.
Kylian Mbappe will join up with an already formidable lineup of Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo in leading the Real Madrid front line and although questions have been asked of their on-field chemistry, the world patiently awaits the outcome of what is on paper a deadly frontline.
