The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate, Akosua Asaa Manu, has expressed confidence in her chances of becoming the first female Member of Parliament (MP) in the Adentan constituency.

Adenta has a history of changing its MPs every four years, with male candidates failing to meet the expectations of the electorate. However, this time, Akosua Asaa Manu believes the constituency will make history by electing a woman who promises to bring a new perspective to the political landscape.

Speaking after casting her vote at the Adjiringanor polling station, Akosua Asaa Manu told TV3’s correspondent that the election process was peaceful, and she urged voters to make their voices heard by participating actively in the election.

She is running against Mohammed Adamu Ramadan of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who has a strong track record, having secured 63,436 votes (55.89%) in 2020. In contrast, the NPP candidate received 49,255 votes (43.4%) in the same year, as shown in the recent election results.
