Black Queens of Ghana will play an international friendly against Morocco this month as part of their preparations for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Newly appointed head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren will take charge of his first game when Ghana faces Morocco at the Pere Jego Stadium in Casablanca on Friday, February 21.

The match is one of two preparatory fixtures scheduled for the senior national team during the February 2025 women’s international match window.

Bjorkegren was named head coach in January, replacing Nora Häuptle. His primary task is to guide the Black Queens to a strong campaign at the 2024 WAFCON, which kicks off on July 5 in Morocco.

Ghana has been drawn in Group C alongside South Africa, Mali, and Tanzania.
