Ghanaian Players Abroad Shine over the Weekend
The weekend saw a flurry of Ghanaian players making their mark in various leagues across the globe.

3Sports  take a closer look at how each of them fared.

Mohammed Kudus – West Ham United

After a lengthy drought, Mohammed Kudus finally broke his duck with a crucial assist in West Ham United’s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth. This significant confidence boost for the 24-year-old comes after struggling to replicate his impressive debut season form. His first Premier League goal contribution since December 21, 2024, will surely have him hungry for more.

Bismark Charles – Skenderbeu

Bismark Charles was on fire, scoring a brace for Skenderbeu in their 2-1 win over Laci. This impressive display showcases his skill and prowess on the pitch, making him a force to be reckoned with in the Abissnet Superiore.

Edmund Baidoo – New York Red Bulls

Edmund Baidoo found the back of the net for New York Red Bulls in their 2-1 win over BW Linz, demonstrating his ability to deliver under pressure. This win is a testament to the team’s growing momentum in the league.

Euigene Ansah – Ashdod

Euigene Ansah came off the bench to score the winning goal for Ashdod in their 2-1 victory over Ironi Tiberias. This impressive display highlights his ability to make an impact even as a substitute.

Ernest Nuamah – Lyon

Unfortunately, Ernest Nuamah’s promising run of form was cut short after just seven minutes against Lille. Concerns over a potential ligament rupture have fans worried, and the 21-year-old’s absence could be felt for an extended period. Nuamah had been on fire, scoring six goals and providing two assists in 2025 for both club and country.

Kamaldeen Sulemana- Southampton

Kamaldeen Sulemana registered his first assist of the season for Southampton, but it wasn’t enough to stave off relegation. Despite the 3-1 defeat to Tottenham, Sulemana’s contribution shows he’s still a valuable asset to the team. Unfortunately, he’ll be going down with Southampton for the second time, having previously done so two seasons prior.
