Kim Yong-tae, a member of the National Assembly of the People Power Party, met with Woo Dong-dong, chairman of the Presidential Committee, and Oh Oh-seok, the second vice governor of Gyeonggi Province, to propose major pending issues in Pocheon and Gapyeong counties and requested government-level support.

First of all, President-elect Kim Yong-tae met with Chairman Woo Dong-dong at the Seoul Government Complex on the morning of the 23rd and mentioned the difficult reality of northern Gyeonggi Province, where development is restricted due to various overlapping regulations, and emphasized the need to pursue balanced development and enhance regional competitiveness through the establishment of the Northern Gyeonggi Special Self-Governing Province.

Vice Governor Oh Oh-seok said, “As the northern part of Gyeonggi has a higher potential for development than any other region, the relevant departments will continue to take care of it so that large-scale support is provided centered on Pocheon and Gapyeong.”
President-elect Kim Yong-tae said, “There are many pending issues in the region, especially those that urgently need support from the central government and Gyeonggi Province,” and vowed to “do my best to secure the necessary budget with a sense of duty as a member of the National Assembly of the ruling party.”
In addition, he expressed his willingness to “reflect the opinions of residents and promote policies that will lead the development of Pocheon and Gapyeong from a new perspective while preserving the characteristics of the region.”
Meanwhile, President-elect Kim Yong-tae is preparing for the legislative activities of the National Assembly by reviewing his election promises, reviewing policy implementation and legislative matters in detail ahead of the opening of the 22nd National Assembly.
