Kim Yong-tae, a member of the National Assembly of the People Power Party, met with Woo Dong-dong, chairman of the Presidential Committee, and Oh Oh-seok, the second vice governor of Gyeonggi Province, to propose major pending issues in Pocheon and Gapyeong counties and requested government-level support.
Specifically, the speedy passage of the ‘Special Bill on the Establishment of the Northern Gyeonggi Special Self-Governing Province’, which could not be processed by the 21st National Assembly, drones· It was proposed to designate Pocheon Opportunity Development Zone through the UAM industry.
First of all, President-elect Kim Yong-tae met with Chairman Woo Dong-dong at the Seoul Government Complex on the morning of the 23rd and mentioned the difficult reality of northern Gyeonggi Province, where development is restricted due to various overlapping regulations, and emphasized the need to pursue balanced development and enhance regional competitiveness through the establishment of the Northern Gyeonggi Special Self-Governing Province.
And as the President’s Local Era Committee deliberates and decides on the Opportunity Development Zone, drones and drones will be used to secure the site of the Army’s 6th Corps headquarters. He requested an active review to designate a special opportunity development zone that promotes linked projects such as the creation of a UAM high-tech industrial complex and the establishment of a civil, public, and military high-tech drone training center and drone development support center in the Pocheon area.

Then, in the afternoon, he met with the 2nd Vice Governor of Gyeonggi Province in Pocheon to discuss cooperation plans such as the establishment of the Northern Gyeonggi Special Self-Governing Province, the designation of the border area of Gapyeong County, the expansion of GTX lines, and the revitalization of local medical services.
Vice Governor Oh Oh-seok said, “As the northern part of Gyeonggi has a higher potential for development than any other region, the relevant departments will continue to take care of it so that large-scale support is provided centered on Pocheon and Gapyeong.”
President-elect Kim Yong-tae said, “There are many pending issues in the region, especially those that urgently need support from the central government and Gyeonggi Province,” and vowed to “do my best to secure the necessary budget with a sense of duty as a member of the National Assembly of the ruling party.”
In addition, he expressed his willingness to “reflect the opinions of residents and promote policies that will lead the development of Pocheon and Gapyeong from a new perspective while preserving the characteristics of the region.”
Meanwhile, President-elect Kim Yong-tae is preparing for the legislative activities of the National Assembly by reviewing his election promises, reviewing policy implementation and legislative matters in detail ahead of the opening of the 22nd National Assembly.
