Ahwoi and Bartels-Kodwo families open residence to mourners following passing of Ama Adoma Bartels-Kodwo

The families of the late Mrs Ama Adoma Bartels-Kodwo (née Ahwoi) have announced their availability to receive mourners and sympathisers at her East Legon residence following her passing on Tuesday, 17th June 2025. 

In a statement issued by the Ahwoi and Bartels-Kodwo families, they indicated that visits can be made daily between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, and again from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The late Mrs Bartels-Kodwo, described as a devoted wife, sister, and mother, died peacefully, leaving behind a legacy cherished by her loved ones. 

“We welcome all who wish to express their condolences and support during this difficult time,” the statement read. 

The designated location for these visits is her residence at No. 36 Kwakwaranya Street, East Legon, Accra, with the postal code GA 449 1002.

In addition to receiving mourners, the families also announced plans for the one-week observance of her passing. 

The event will take place at the Police Church in Accra on Tuesday, 24th June 2025, beginning at 8:00 a.m. 

The service is expected to draw family, friends, and well-wishers who are eager to honour her memory and offer their prayers.

The Ahwoi and Bartels-Kodwo families have expressed their profound gratitude for the outpouring of support since the news of Mrs Bartels-Kodwo’s death became public. 

They urged all who knew her to join them in the week-long period of reflection and comfort. 

“Your presence and prayers mean a great deal to us as we come to terms with our loss,” the families said.
