Competing on three fronts in the 2023-2024 season, Dreams Football Club head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, has indicated that his team is ready for an extensive break due to its heavy workload.

He leaned towards this in his post game comments after seeing Dreams FC crash out of the MTN FA Cup in the semifinals and miss out on successfully defending its title.

Dreams lost 2-1 to Bofoakwa Tano at the WAFA Park in Sogakope on the back of losing 3-0 on aggregate to Egyptian side SC Zamalek in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Losing to Zamalek had Dreams miss out on competing in the finals of Africa’s second tier club competition in its debut run in the tournament.

After crashing out of both competitions, coach Karim Zito says his team will turn its attention to secure its stay in the Ghana Premier League ahead of a long break.

“My boys have had enough for the year. Seriously, they’ve had enough and I think we will do our best to maintain ourself in the league and then we give them a long break or else we will break down.”
