The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that Friday’s Black Stars training session will be open to both media and fans.

This is a departure from recent practices where training sessions were held behind closed doors.

The team will commence training at 4:30 pm in preparation for their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifier matches against Mali and Central African Republic.

Black Stars will be based in Accra for five days before they depart for Bamako on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, for their opening match against Mali, slated for June 6.

Four days later, Ghana will play host to the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Following a shaky start to their World Cup qualifying campaign, the Black Stars hope to bounce back and record victories after securing only one win and suffering one loss in their initial two matches in Group I.

Ghana opened the campaign with a 1-0 win over Madagascar in Kumasi before losing by the same margin to Comoros in Moroni.

Black Stars are not in the best form ahead of these games, having failed to win in 2024, with two losses and three draws.

They crashed out of the Africa Cup of Nations in the group stage and subsequently failed to beat Nigeria and Uganda in March’s international friendlies in Morocco.
