[Mobile Reporter Nam Nan-woo] On the 26th, Sejong City celebrated the 2nd anniversary of the launch of the 4th municipal administration, with citizens and journalists looking back on the achievements of the past two years and drawing up a future vision for Sejong City under the theme of ‘Sejong is the future.’ I took my time.

Mayor Choi Min-ho held a briefing at the Jochiwon 1927 Art Center and held an event commemorating the 2nd anniversary of the 4th term of municipal administration with about 150 citizens, journalists, and related officials in attendance.

This event was prepared to listen to various citizens’ opinions on ‘Sejong’s future vision’ and to share Mayor Choi Min-ho’s vision of a future Sejong City that will develop into the ‘capital of the Republic of Korea’.

In particular, an event was held to congratulate the 2nd anniversary of the 4th term of city administration, in which foreign figures from various fields, including the baryon accelerator, worked hard to establish itself as the administrative capital of the Republic of Korea and an international city through video messages.

In particular, the video message featured Professor Wolfgang Ketterly of Massachusetts Public University, a scholar in the quantum field, and Hirohiko Tsujii, former director of Japan’s QST Radiation Science Research Institute, to cheer for Sejong City’s bright future.

In addition, we had time to look back on the two-year journey of the 4th term of municipal administration through congratulatory video messages from various people with ties to Sejong City, including a Bulgarian scout who visited Sejong City during the jamboree competition.

The city briefly introduced the two-year achievements in eight fields, including administrative capital, future industry, garden tourism, transportation, safety, medical welfare, Korean language culture, and balanced development, in a video and decided to provide detailed information later through a separate press briefing. .

In the first part of the vision presentation, Sejong Mayor Choi Min-ho presented the achievements of the past two years and the five major visions for Sejong City to move forward.

The five visions presented for the future of Sejong City are △Administrative Capital △Korean Cultural Capital △Future Museum City △Garden-Tourism Leading City △Cutting-Edge Smart City. The direction and realization plan of Sejong City, the second capital of Korea, are described.

Following Mayor Choi Min-ho’s vision presentation, the ‘Talk Concert with Citizens’ was held to discuss with citizens head-to-head and specify the achievements of the first half of the fourth term of administration and the future direction.

At this event, various citizens, including young entrepreneurs, foreign students in the city, members of the Citizens’ Sovereignty Council, and the Youth Policy Network, shared their opinions online and offline on the topics of ‘The Future of Sejong City’ and ‘If I Were the Mayor.’

In particular, various visions presented by over 700 citizens were introduced through the ‘Sejong —— is the future’ fill-in-the-blank quiz event held through the city app from the 12th to the 23rd.

As a result of the event, the largest number of people, 316, expressed the opinion that ‘Sejong City is the future of Korea’ and ‘Sejong City is the future of children, the future of young people, and our future.’

At the talk concert that began in earnest, Mayor Choi Min-ho, citizens, and journalists came together to exchange opinions on the direction of Sejong City’s five future visions and specific action plans.

Lastly, through ‘on-site citizen interviews’ held at major locations in Sejong City, vivid opinions were presented on what I would like to do if I were mayor.

Following the talk concert, the event ended with a prayer for the restoration of the ‘Saniljesa’ and a new 100 years, as well as a viewing of the ‘2nd year of the 4th term of city administration through photos’ photo exhibition held here.

Mayor Choi Min-ho said, “This commemorative event was prepared as a time to share with citizens the achievements of the first half of the fourth term of municipal administration and draw a vision for the future of Sejong City,” adding, “We are preparing for the next 10 and 100 years of Sejong City, which will stand tall as the capital of the Republic of Korea.” “I will do my best for the remainder of my term,” he said.

Meanwhile, the event was broadcast live on YouTube, and Mayor Choi Min-ho directly responded to citizens’ opinions expressed in the comments, making efforts to communicate with citizens in various ways by breaking away from the standardized format.
