Razak Simpson produced a moment of brilliance as Nations FC edged Hearts of Oak 1-0 in their Ghana Premier League Matchday 21 clash at the Tuba Astro Turf in Accra.
The defeat marks Hearts of Oak’s third loss in their last four games, while Nations FC secured a crucial victory after managing just one win in their previous three outings.
Both teams started with attacking intent, creating an electrifying first half, but neither side was able to break the deadlock before the interval.
Notably, Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare was absent from the Phobians’ squad for the game.
The second half continued in similar fashion, with end-to-end action. Nations FC, however, looked more threatening in attack and finally found the breakthrough in the 65th minute.
Simpson unleashed a thunderous strike from over 30 yards out, rifling the ball into the top corner to hand the visitors a well-deserved lead.
