Arsenal Football Club manager, Mikel Arteta, isn’t sure how his team would have fared up to this point in the 2023-2024 English Premier League season if Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey had been available to play more games than he has thus far.

He said this in his pregame conference ahead of Arsenal’s early kickoff game against AFC Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium at 11:30 GMT.

Arsenal lead the EPL standings with 80 points (just a point more than Manchester City in second place who have played a game fewer than The Gunners) in the lead up to the Bournemouth clash.

Partey has made just 11 appearances in the EPL all season long due to various injuries picked up during the campaign to the frustration of Arsenal fans who have seen the former Atletico Madrid player go through multiple injury spells during his time at the Emirates.

“Do you have a coin? Ping! I have no clue. We have missed them (Partey and Jurrien Timber), because when you have them around the team is more competitive, there’s more quality there, more leadership there, that’s for sure.”

In a related report, fellow Ghana player, Antoine Semenyo, is likely to be available for Bournemouth at the Emirates. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
