Ghana international Lawrence Agyekum says the team will give their all to ensure the Black Stars seal a ticket for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
With four still left to play in the qualifying series, the Black Stars sit top of their group, three points above Comoros, who are in second position.
Agyekum, who has been in the last two call-ups to the national team, is determined to get the team to the global showpiece again.
“With the support of the fans, [we can make it to the World Cup]. We need the fans behind the team because we can’t do it without them,” he told Joy Sports in an exclusive interview.
“For us as a team, we will give the best we can to make sure we qualify for the World Cup and then to put smiles on the faces of Ghanaians.
“For me, anyway I can help to make sure we qualify, I am going to do it.”
The next international window is September, when the Black Stars will resume their World Cup qualification campaign. Ghana will face Chad away before hosting Mali in the last fixture of the international assignment.
