Over the weekend, Ghanaian striker Bernard Tekpetey clinched his fourth Bulgarian Parva Liga championship with Ludogorets, despite being sent off during their match against CSKA Sofia.

The team secured a 3-1 victory, maintaining their lead ahead of second-place CSKA Sofia and securing the title for the 2023/24 season.

Tekpetey played a significant role in Ludogorets’ successful campaign, contributing directly to 13 goals – he scored 10 himself and provided three assists.

Since joining the club in the 2021/22 season, he has already helped them secure four league titles, two Bulgarian Super Cups, and one Bulgarian Cup.

Ludogorets’ triumph marks their 13th consecutive championship win in the Bulgarian top flight, making them a dominant force in Bulgarian football.

This means they will play Champions League football next season.

Tekpetey, 26, has surprisingly only earned two caps for Ghana since 2017, despite his consistent performance since his move to Bulgaria in 2021.
