[Kim Seung-hwan, Mobile Reporter] Gyeonggi-do Assemblyman Kim Dong-gyu (Budget and Settlement Special Committee, Democratic Party of Korea, Ansan 1) ordered the substantive promotion of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education’s Wee project during the Budget and Settlement Special Committee’s review of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education’s financial statements for the 2023 fiscal year.

The above project is a multi-integrated support service network project that connects schools, offices of education, and local communities to support students’ healthy and enjoyable school life. The ‘We’ of the above project guides students with love so that they can discover We within I and You, and allows students to realize their potential in a space filled with emotion and love. It contains the meaning of finding.

Rep. Kim Dong-gyu said, “According to the financial statements submitted by the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, 37 professional counselors participating in the above project retired. “It can be seen that problems have arisen in the operation of the above project at various schools during their absence,” he said. “This may appear as if the above project of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, which is a project of counseling for students and an integrated support service network through it, is faltering.” “I think we need to take preventative measures after examining exactly why these people retired,” he said.

Go Ah-young, Director of Convergence Education, responded, “We will further investigate and report on the timing and reasons for the retirement of relevant professionals.”

Rep. Kim Dong-gyu continued, “In order to listen to students’ difficulties and help them, the above project will be carried out in three stages. Among them, the most basic one is the above class,” he said. “However, the above class is currently installed in only about 78% of all elementary schools in Gyeonggi-do. “It may be difficult to set up a special room due to issues such as overcrowded classes, but we hope that we will do our best to build the above classes to help students,” he concluded the inquiry.
