[Mobile Reporter Cha Bu-eop] Uiwang City celebrated the 74th anniversary of the Korean War in the conference room of Uiwang City Hall on the 24th, and held a Korean War festival to commemorate the sacrificial spirit of veterans who devoted themselves to the country and to reflect on the wounds and lessons left by the war. A 74-week anniversary ceremony was held.
The commemorative event was attended by about 200 people, including Korean War veterans, heads of various veterans organizations, and heads of organizations and organizations, and was followed by watching a video of the Korean War, followed by a national ceremony, a commemorative speech, an encouraging speech, a reminiscence speech, three cheers for national independence, and the singing of the June 25 song. It went ahead.
Also, at the ceremony, mayoral commendations were awarded to 10 veterans and security organizations who devoted themselves to cultivating the patriotic spirit.
In his commemorative speech, Mayor Kim Seong-je said, “We must not forget that the economic prosperity, freedom, and democracy we enjoy today are a history built on the blood and sweat of our martyrs. I will forever remember this with the citizens of Uiwang,” and expressed gratitude and courtesy to those who served in the war. I conveyed my meaning.
Meanwhile, the Uiwang branch of the Korean Military Meritorious Persons Association held the ‘Korean War Photo Exhibition’ in the conference room on this day and plans to hold a photo exhibition at the Lifelong Education Center until the 26th.
